Back to the future: Ghent in 3D

Thanks to Ghent in 3D technology you are able to walk through 14 km2 of the scanned Ghent inner city, with a joystick at hand. The construction, a hybrid 3D cave, is officially called D.I.R.I.-gent: Digital, Interactive, Spatial and Informative Ghent.
The next step: taking a look into the near future. Literally that is! By using 3D scans and mockups they show us unfinished building projects. Inhabitants of Ghent will be able to comment on the plans by walking around in a virtual world, not by studying hard-to-read architectural plans.
